Hey Guys!
How are you?
In this section, you are going to be able to know how to proceed to the Speaking Part 2 of Cambridge’s Preliminary English Test.
For better understanding, you can reach this class you can click here.
In this part of the test, you are going to be asked to describe a photograph. However, only what you can see in it.
For example:
You can start using:
“I can see two women sitting on chairs, and a waiter serving food to them.”
Always describe the first thing you can really see. Also, try not to rush, it is necessary for you to describe the situation.
PS. So try not to say what you think they are doing, the interlocutor will already say what they are doing!!!
Ok, but what can you do if you forget a word?
Just stay in silence for a few seconds while you think about a different thing. Furthermore, it is important not to make some noises like “hummmm” or “eeeeiiii” while you think. In addition, this takes the attention of the evaluator from the picture to your vocabulary. Of course, this could be a challenge for you.
Try to talk about colours:
“I see that one of the women is wearing/dressing a pink shirt, it is a long sleeve shirt, also she is wearing/dressing a white t-shirt under the pink one.”
And, it is cool to use the locations words too:
For example:
“In front of the woman that is wearing pink, there is another woman wearing gray clothes, both of them are blonde. Just the waiter who is between them has black hair”
Now it is your turn. At this time, you will be able to describe some photos for the PET.
